Kahanda Kanda is a 12 bedroom boutique hotel, situated on a working tea estate just 5km inland from the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The 12 rooms are all stand alone villas bar the 2 Plantation Suites, and 8 of the villas have their own private plunge pools. Having opened in 2006, the hotel has established a well-deserved reputation of providing a high level of service, sublime comfort and mouthwatering food, all in a spectacular seeing overlooking the tea estate and surrounding jungle. We are 30 minutes from the UNECO World Heritage Site of Galle Fort, and also offer lots of activities for our guests, including boat trips on Koggala Lake, escorted bike rides, cookery classes and wildlife excursions.
We are an easy 2 hour journey from BIA COlombo airport and can provide transfers from and to the airport with comfortable vehicles and careful English speaking drivers.
